The left side balance spring on my Semco double hung window is broken. I can see this because the cord no longer has any tension. My question is 1) how can I remove the broken balance spring and 2) is there a replacement part available?

We should be able to provide a replacement for the balance shown, but to further review, we will need to see the balance and blue knife lock shoe removed. From there, please provide the length, width and depth of the metal channel.
