Broken Balances

A home owner from Apex, NC says:

I have several windows where the plastic pulley part has broken and released the string from the spring portion. The only lead I have is that they may be Patriot Windows or Metal Industries. Any help Identifying the manufacturer or replacement part would be appreciated.

Hello! Looks like you have a specific kind of rod type balance. These aren't made anymore, but our Series 795 can be used as a substitute. The catch is, the process of adapting the new balance to your window is a little involved. Fortunately we have a video that covers the ins and outs in detail. I highly recommend watching it.
