Broken "D30" channel balance
American Dream "Nightmare" Window of 2004
1st pic is bottom of channel showing string going down to pivot shoe
2nd pic is top of channel with S hook top attachment. Spring was attached by a rivet several inches below top.
3rd pic is closeup of bottom showing broken pulley mount causing failure.
4th pic is hole where S hook attaches. The spring is 17 in. Hook to hook.
These channels are a "bi_ch" to get out.
The whole thing appears a little cheaply made.
None of the channels I've seen on website look like this thing. What do you suggest as a replacement?

Hello, I believe that we can replace these balances for you but we'd like to see the clip attached to the end of the pulley of an undamaged balance to confirm exactly what you need. Thank you but what we actually need to see is the clip or hook tied to the end of the pulley string. It may be missing from the one you're looking at since it is clearly damaged, so I would recommend removing and showing us an undamaged balance so that we can confirm exactly what you need. Also, we will still need to know how many balances you'd like to purchase. |

Great, now we know what you need and that it will need to be custom made. To get an order link together for you, we'll need to know: 1. The length of the metal channel. 2. Confirm the stamp number printed on the metal channel. 3. How many balances you'd like to order. Once we have this information, we'll be able to get a price quote and order link together for you. |
