CWS Replacement Window Screens

A home owner from Debary, FL says:
Dear Swisco,

I need to replace a number of screens on my home. Does CWS still make my screens?

Note the two "springs" on the side.

Thank you,

A home owner from Debary, FL says:
Apparently, I should not attempt to find exact replacements for my CWS screens; I should instead replace them with Flexscreens. but I find the measurement process confusing.

Can't I simply measure my existing screen?

Note my existing screens have two metal "springs" at the top. I suppose I should add the height of these springs to the height of the screen?

Existing screen measurements:
  • Height not including "spring" - 31 and 1/8 inches.
  • Height including "spring" - 31 and 1/2 inches
  • Width: 44 inches
  • Screen frame is 1/4 inch deep.

Thank you,

Good Morning,

Looking at your old screen, FlexScreen should work for you.

Unfortunately, measuring your old screen is not accurate enough. Where are you getting stuck in the measuring process?

Does CWS stand for Custom Window Systems?

What type of window is this for?
A quick learner from Debary says:
I got it figured out. I am so confident, I ordered two screens. I may want to critique your instruction after my screens are successfully installed.
