Can the coil housing be reused?

Question

I have determined following your directions that I need S180 coils to fix my window.  Is it unusual for both sets on both sides to fail at the same time?  Do the coil housings need to be replaced too, or can they be reused if undamaged? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Yes, the coil housing can still be used if it isn't damaged. As far as both of your coils failing simultaneously-- I think this is a coincidence more than anything.
