Channel Balance 163 Z

A home owner from Los Angeles, CA says:
Please see attached photos

I have an older (about 30 years) single hung aluminum window and the channel balance has gone bad.
I have removed the balance and the pulleys and cables are trashed.

This part fits into a channel at the top of the aluminum window with cables that hang down on each side that support the single hung window.

You might be able to see from the attached photos that each side (left and right) have two springs attached to the bad cable and pulleys.

If I can find a replacement that includes the cables (just strong braided wire) I could recover this window rather than replacing the entire window.

The original window is Bronze, 4 ft. wide X 5 ft. high.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thank you,

Leo Roberts

We may be able to help, but this balance will have to be custom made. Before we begin, can you show me a clear picture of the clip at the end of the cord? This clip inserts into the 15-209 bracket I see in your picture.
