I need a replacement for a channel balance. The marking on the balance reads: "36 4 GO CALDWELL". The overall length of the entire balance with shoes included is 38-inches. The width of the plastic shoes measure to be 15/16 of an inch. The length of the metal balance without shoes is 37-inches long. Thank you for your assistance.

Hey, thanks for posting. I've narrowed this down to two possible channel balance Series: either our Series 380 or our Series 385 balances.
Now, as you can see, there is only one difference between these two Series, and that is their bottom shoe. The Series 380 uses the 15-005 while the Series 385 uses the 15-004. I can't quite tell what you have based on your pictures, though. Please carefully compare their dimensions to your own hardware and see which is a better match. ![]() |

Trouble with size of the Channel Balance Shoe. Resembles 15-005 but is less than 1" in depth. It is more like 7/8 or 15/16.
Is there another size avail? These go in ALCAN windows

I don't know of any shoe that has less than a 1" depth. I think it's more likely that your shoe used to be 1" deep, but simply wore down with age and use.
