Thanks for posting. We'd be happy to replace these custom balances for you. Note however that a 40HD stamp on a Series 751 indicates the metal channel is 41" long, not 40". Please check the length again; if you're uncertain, please send pictures of the balance's attachments and stamp and we'd be happy to research exactly what you have. 

If you do check the channel length and it's indeed 41" long, then the link I just emailed you now is to order four(4) 41" Series 751 balances, stamped 40HD. Let me know if you have any questions.
