Channel balance

A home owner from California says:
Hi,
I need a 26-4 27" channel balance. I ordered one from another vendor but the hook was way too thick to connect into my window frame. Can you please let me k ow what part I need? I think it's a 380 or 385 part, but I can't tell for sure.

Based on your photos, you have either our S380-27 or S385-27. The only difference between them is the size of the bottom fitting, which is indicated on their respective store pages. You'll need to measure your bottom fitting to confirm which one is the better match.

I've confirmed I need S385-27. The 2640 balance has been out of stock for over a month. Would one of the other S385-27 options work?

There is a good chance that the other options will not work. If the stamp is too weak, then your window will be difficult to open and could drift close on its own. If the stamp is too strong, then your window will be difficult to close and could even open up on its own. The choice is ultimately yours, but you should understand the risks.
