Channel balance Replacment

Home Owner from Brighton, CO

Ok so I need 4 balances, two sets of two. I did not realize the complexity in replacing these parts, hopefully I can explain it adequately enough to get the right parts. I will include pictures sorry the insides are not still together.

They are both BSI one is 2020 one is 1890. The 2020 measures 21 in in length(not including the plastic ends) and the 1890 measures 19 in. Both are over 1/2 in in width but just slightly under 5/8 in. Both appear to be right at 5/8 in depth.

The insides where the same on both, one spring, string and pulleys. I still have the little metal hook/clip that was on it, I will provide pictures of the plastic ends on both sides (they where the same on both) the house is roughly 15 years old and these were the original parts.

I hope what I provide can help identify the parts I need if not I understand. It would on let me add 5 photos, let me know if you more. I have the hook/clip, even though it's not attached, and I understand that might be important also.

Thank you so much for your time,

Warren

Hello, Warren! Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our Series 380 or Series 385, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

In the case of the 19" balance, keep in mind that you will need to weigh your sash to confirm the best stamp option. Your original of "1890" is from an old fashioned rating system that our balances don't use. One of our stamps should work just fine, but you will have to weigh your sash to confirm the best one.
