Channel balance options

A home owner from Hillsdale, NJ says:
I want to order a 19' series 350 channel balance. When I go to "continue", it asks me for an option #. What does that mean? In this case, 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840.

The different numbers represent the different strengths (and lengths) of the channel balance. You will need to choose a strength depending on how heavy your individual window sash is. The best way to figure out what number strength you need is by inspecting the old channel balances you are replacing for it's strength. To find out your current channel balance's strength, examine the balance closely, you should find the number stamped on the metal channel (the stamp can be very faint sometimes). Let me know what stamp you find or if you cannot find a stamp remove the sash from your window and report its size, weight, and if it is single or insulated glass.
