Church door seals

A home owner from Columbia, SC says:
We have two sets of 25 year old aluminum double doors leading to our church sanctuary that have worn weatherstripping. Our part is very close to your part number 58-111, with the exception that we have a 7/16" mortise, not 1/2". Can the edges of the 58-111 be compressed to properly lay in the 7/16 mortised channel? If not, is there a 7/16 unit available? If not, are we going to have to find a roll of the insulating pile that can be refitted into the old weatherstrip frame? Thanks for you time.

Hmm... I'm not sure what to recommend to solve your problem. Do you know what brand your doors are? The 58-085 (7') and the 58-111 (8') are both used on Commercial Aluminum Kawneer brand doors. If you also have Kawneer doors, either of these weatherstrips should work depending on the height of your door. If you are not sure, send us some photos of your doors and the weather stripping and we can try to find a better solution!
A contractor from Columbia, SC says:
The 58-111 looks like it might work. If ordered an it doesn't fit, can it be returned (if not damaged or cut)? We will need to order 2 of these for 2 pairs of these doors.

I think that it will fit, as the current strip looks identical and has some flex going into the mortise.

Please advise,

Yes! As long as the part is not damaged or cut, you can return it. See our return policy for more information.
