Constant force coils for tilt windows

Quick Learner from Georgia
The one with the blue shoe is the old one I took out. The others with metal shoe is one I found and used but the blue one has a slot fits old pivot pin and new one does not . They are 40 lb windows and as can see stacked coils of 20 each side by a 6,6, 8 to equal 20 lbs for each side. I need new ones and I think the 161 is correct. My measurements are 9/16 by 1 1/4 by 2 1/4 tall for bottom one the others stack/ snap together.
So can I use it and get which pivot shoe pin goes with it? The old one used the metal clip and I like the new plastic one. Do they all work to hold the coils and can get the other?
So is 161 what I need? I saw a 210 . I think the coils themselves are 180? I have done one window but the new ones don't seem lock down so makes it difficult get window back in. So is the metal one different I got is why as opposed to the old plastic cam with slot or do windows with age just not hold it in place? Help?

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! The balance with the blue cam, appears to be the 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot. The other balance pictured here looks like it could be the Series 161, which is not interchangeable with your existing assembly. Take a look at the dimensions below and compare them to the original housing to confirm that this is the right fit.

You'll also need the 15-086 Tandem Coil Housing since your assembly will use more than one coil spring. Both the 15-087 and 15-086 are compatible with the Series 180 Coil Balance Spring. Since your sash weighs 40lbs, you can use the S180-10, two for both sides of the sash.

The compatible mounting bracket is part 16-024.
