Dashwood Entryguard Truth Operator Arms are Too Long

Professional from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Sash lock is left so I got a left operator from store. Unable to install this because the short operation arm is way to long for properly attaching to the window stud. If I compare this to an existing right hand side, indeed the replacement is too long a arm and will bind against the window, and it can not be closed.

The Brand is Dashwood Entryguard Truth with number 20755 on it, so information that I have the correct operator from the store is pretty bogus and incorrect. The Window roller arm is 9.5 inch so everything is correct with it. Short arm is too long.

Which model should I order for a replacement of a Dashwood operator ??????

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. I'm unfortunately not familiar with the Dashwood brand, so at this stage I don't know what your window had originally, nor do I know what you bought to replace it.

Your next step should be to take a clear picture of the original operator so that I can get a good look at it. Since the size of the short arm is the biggest problem, I would also like you to measure that and write out what you get, same as you did for the 9.5" long roller arm.

Please make sure that as much of the operator is visible as possible. The more of it is obscured, the less likely we'll be to ID it. Seeing it out of the window would be ideal.
