Question about 88-013 and 88-014. How much is the offset of the handle from the screws? We are trying to replace the French curved handle on older wood Anderson sliders but need it to not take up too much width as we are using a petsafe doggie door spacer and the French handle prevents us from opening the door as fully as possible.

I have actually tried using the 88-013 and 88-014 handles on my Anderson slider at my home. I had the same curved handles on my door and thought the new ones would let it open a little further, but there was no difference. I did however cut the rubber stop at the rear top of the track. That gave me a little more when opening the door.

I recommend that you examine your door at the back end of the top track. My rubber stop was held in with two screws. It will be very very thick rubber so take your time cutting it. I used a utility knife.

Thanks- we removed the stopper already. I appreciate the info about those handles. For now we bought a cheap and ugly handle! Maybe we will need to replace the door ?
