We do not recommend attempting to replace the spring, no. These are not sold by any company I know of, likely due to the difficulty of actually replacing. These are very delicate systems under constant pressure, so trying to swap out the spring would ruin its tension. Not to mention that you're dealing with a piece of steel under 30 pounds of pressure that suddenly has nowhere to go. You could risk serious injury.

In all cases, you must replace the balance itself. Trying to swap out the springs just isn't worth it.
