Full or half

A handy person from Ottawa Ontario says:
I want to order screens for a single hung aluminum windows. The screens will fit into an exterior track. It think that either the half screen or full screen will fit. From the video it appears that the top edge of the half screen is different (wider?) so that it forms a more solid connection against the bottom edge of the upper fixed pane. Is that the case and which in your opinion is preferable?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
Hello! Hopefully we can help. The half screen comes with the weather strip adapter in either black or white (you'll get to choose). The adapter is made to clip to the top of the screen to fill the gap between the bottom rail of the sash and the top of the screen itself.

Speaking from personal experience, I kind of like the full screen better. It gives the window a more streamlined look and hides the frame so that you can't even see the edges of the frame. That said, the half screen certainly has its advantages, and at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.
