We are looking for a replacement for our broken GU awning window crank. Do you know if there is a comparable replacement?

We have several broken cranks for our GU windows. Do you know of anything at all that works as a replacement for this GU striaght arm awning window crank? The person buying our home wants them repaired but we haven't been able to find anything compatible. We're hoping for something other than replacing the windows.

Thanks for posting and showing us your pictures!

Unfortunately, GU stopped making that operator and it's now discontinued. The closest thing we carry is the 39-027E Ellipse Style Single Arm Operator, 9-1/2", and the track 39-533 11-3/8" Casement Operator Track, 3 Hole.

Now, I can't say this will work or fit but it's the closest we have.

I have the same problem as the Ponte Vedra Beach home owner. Did they buy the Ellipse operator and did it work?
A home owner from Berkeley Heights, NJ says:
I bought one 39-027E to try and it works! Just had to trim the sides of the operator housing a bit so I could insert it into the existing cut out of the window frame. The original G-U track and handle are compatible with the Ellipse operator.
