Generic vinyl window tilt latches

A quick learner from Minneapolis says:
Hi...
I need to repair a window that has two broken tilt latches at the top. How do I start the identification process? There are way too many to browse.

Also, they appear to be pressed into the frame. Is removing them just a matter of a little elbow grease?

Cheers,

Bernie

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hello, Bernie. We do have many latches that look like this, but based on personal experience I think the best candidates for this job are our 26-244 and 26-243. Carefully review the dimensions and pictures we show on our site and let me know if yours differ in any way. Don't worry about the style of the thumb lever part, just focus on dimensions.
