Getty operator

A quick learner from Ambridge, PA says:

I am trying to find replacement parts for this hardware. The operator arm says

GETTY

Phila.(delphia) PA

paten pending

Even if someone knows how to remove the operator arm from the operator. I tried using the two holes in the top to "thread" off the "cap" but was unsuccessful. I made a tool to do so but started damaging the brass so I stopped.

Wow, this is ancient. I don't recognize it off the cuff, but I bet my colleague Dave does. Please give us a little more time to butt heads together and track this down and I'll let you know as soon as we have news for you.

The windows are hopes out of New York State and I believe they are from 1941, that would have been about the time that hopes in the US separated from hopes in Europe.

Thanks again for waiting. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find anything at all similar to your old Getty operators. The only thing we can feasibly recommend are our 39-044 and 39-045, which are more modern operators of the same brand. I'm just not sure if the arms will be long enough. There's also a good chance you need to alter the sill in some way to match the new base. This would likely involve drilling new holes and maybe even reshaping the cutout where the operator goes.

You may also need a new track. See our 39-504 or 39-512. Sorry we couldn't offer better options!
