Guardian door handle

A handy person from Jessup, MD says:
I have a Guardian sliding glass door with a broken handle. Since I have to replace the handle set anyways, I'd like to upgrade the mortise lock with an outside key lock mechanism. The current system has a mortise lock with a lever inside but no outside key locking/unlocking capability. Holes measure 3 15/16" handle holes and 3 11/16" mortise hole spacing. Would like to buy the entire handle set so I can ensure they all work together.

Thanks for contacting us, Mark. Check out our 82-035 handle set and 82-218 mortise lock. Do these look similar to your own hardware? If so, then you might also want to consider our 82-309 key lock set.
A professional from California says:
I would use 82-069 with 82-310.

Adding 82-309 to 82-035 is much more difficult than punching out the outside pull of 82-069.

The cost is more, but better and easier.

I agree, the 82-069 and 82-310 would be an easier installation.
