Hello, I recently purchased the 20-006 Crestine clutch set, which seemed like a miracle after many hours searching online for replacement parts! My issue now is how to get these clutch pieces to engage with the window sash's metal slots. I've tried pulling the clutches down and "locking" them in place at the same height on either side of the sill. One clutch engaged while the other shot up into the top of he window jamb.
Is there some online source that I can access for help? This type of clutch seems different from anything in the numerous how-to videos I've watched. Thanks a lot!

Hopefully I can help, Kristin. I've actually never handled these shoes personally, but from what I understand, you will need to pull and lock the string down with a small set of vice grips or a spring clamp to install the shoes. Once they're on, you'll need to carefully hold onto them when you release the vise to prevent them from shooting up. Slowly and gently let them raise up until they're in place.

After filing the wire down a bit, the clutch works just like the
