Help identifying this window and parts I need

Quick Learner from Virginia
Hi, I have an older house with some original metal windows. The windows are either very hard to open or they will not stay open. A couple of them are missing latches. Can anyone help identify what kind of window this is and what parts I may need to get them working smoothly again? Thank you

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We'd be happy to help with this but we will need more information to help track down a match. Can you tell us if this is a tilt or nontilt window? And can you show us a photo of the extended inner spiral tip along with any attachments or brackets?

As for the latches, we will need to see an intact version to compare to our inventory.

Thanks for getting back to me! It looks like your balance uses the 19-012 cap which is designed for 5/8" diameter spiral balances. With that in mind, take a look at the Series 200 and Series 303. Carefully review the specifications and compare them with yours to see which one matches up.

As for the lock, see if the 90-031 aligns with your old one.

Hi Emily - Thanks for the info. Do you have the part info for the spiral balance assembly? Some of the windows are missing the whole thing.

If you have some windows missing all balance hardware entirely, then it will be very difficult to identify the proper replacement. There's no easy reference guide for that sort of thing; these are measured and weighted on a case by case basis. I would triple check around the house to see if you have another window that is identical in size and weight that might still have its balances. You can use that as a reference.
