How to remove old lock set?

A handy person from Goffstown, NH says:
Looking at my old lock setup, it looks like this would be a suitable replacement. I have an old wooden storm door with this type of mortised lockset. I have taken everything off the was easy to remove (finish plates and door handles). How do I remove the spindle. I assume once the spindle is removed, the slide bolt should easily pop out.

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
Normally, the spindle is threaded into the handle and secured in place with a small set screw. Remove the set screw and you should be able to turn/screw off the handle from the spindle.
