We should be able to help with this, but your balances should have a stamp printed on the tube. All Hybrid Balances were made with a stamp without exception; if you don't have one, it's not a Hybrid.

In that situation we will require photos of the original balance so that we can ID what will work best for these windows.

Thanks, these photos are a huge help. This is definitely a Hybrid balance but it's very peculiar for it to have no stamp. Ordinarily, that tells us how much weight the springs can support, which is vital information; without those stamps, the only way we can know how to calibrate the springs is to know how heavy the sash itself is.

Would that be information you can get? I will need to know the exact weight of the sash down to the ounce. These are very, very precise systems so it's important to make sure the weight is just as precise.
