I am needing a key lock

Home Owner from Bolivar, Texas
The locking mechanism works on the door but there are no keys so I am thinking I need to replace that little handle and key locking mechanism... I can't figure out how to take it out to look at it. There are no screws connected to the lock and lever

Everything works fine. It's just that I purchased this house and they did not have keys for this lock.... So a locksmith says he can't make a key And that I will need to replace the lock... I don't really know how to get the locking cylinder out... There are no screws... How can I get this latch off?..

And what parts do I need to replace...

Thank you for contacting us, Deborah. Normally with key cylinders, there is a "set screw" which prevents the tumbler from turning. See if you could remove the faceplate on the side edge of the door. If you can remove that face plate that covers the "latch" you should be able to access the set screw. With the set screw removed, you should be able to turn the key cylinder (normally to remove you turn it to the left) to remove it from the door.
