Installation of 10-216

Home Owner from St Louis
I just got this part and they look like the correct part. Just curious if you know how they are installed. I tried sliding the broken glide out and it didn't budge. There is a screw at the bottom of the door (of course it won't unscrew for me) but wondering if I need to remove this screw prior to putting the new guide in. I'm not sure if it glides in at the edge or pops in. Suggestions?

Sure, I'd be happy to help. First, remove the door and lay it on a flat surface. You will need to remove both bottom end screws (you might need WD-40 to help loosen them up). Then, with a block of wood and hammer, gently knock off the bottom rail only just enough to allow you to slide off the old guide and slide the new guide in its place.

Purchased part 10-216 (shower door guide). Cannot get to stay connected to shower door. Does it just pop in the bottom or do I install. The old one fell out.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. To install the new 10-216. you'll have to slightly knock the track out to give you clearance to install, as per the instructions above. This is easier said than done, though; the 10-216 can be tricky to install if you've never done this kind of project before, so it just takes a steady hand and a lot of patience.
