Internal sash tilt in latch

A contractor from Black Creek Wisconsin says:
Looking for this style insert tilt in latch, it simply slides into the side of the window frame, note the finger lever is deeper than the ones found in your site

Bob from SWISCO responded:

This doesn't look an internal tilt latch to me, even with that finger lever. It looks more like a surface mount tilt latch like the 26-243 and 26-244. Look over the dimensions to see if these match up. These latches lack that top lever, but honestly if they fit your window that won't make a difference.

A contractor says:
The recommended latch replacement will not side in the slot, actuator knob prevents it from fitting, If I were to pop off the top of the slot, the knob will not fit through the opening on the top of the slot.

I'm not sure if I understand, as the body of this tilt latch still looks like a surface-mount version that should slide in from the side. The top shouldn't really have any bearing in it. See the video below for details. If in doubt, please show me a picture of the slot where these latches fit into.
