Keller double hung windows

Question

I have Keller double hung windows and the cords that keep them up are breaking. Keller is trying to sell me very expensive replacement units to fix them. Is there a less expensive way? Or less expensive replacement units I can use?

That depends entirely on what's broken. Based on your description it sounds like the balances are broken. Would it be possible to see some photos of the part? We sell a ton of different balances so I will need a visual reference in order to narrow it down.

Please note that I may ask for more photos, depending on what I see. In all likelihood I will need to see the entire undamaged balance assembly out of the window. Just something to keep in mind as we move forward.
