Lock Lever

Question

When locking our window, the lock lever handle broke (inside the lock mechanism). I am trying to remove the snap on cover and replace it and the lock handle (part 38-178). I am finding it difficult to remove the old cover? I have tried to pull it of and pry it off but unable to remove and replace - any advice?

Thanks for writing in! The 38-178 Snap-on Lever Handle Cover is made specifically for the 38-177 Multi-point Casement Lock. There is a chance you may need to replace the entire lock, but you'll be able to determine that once you're able to remove the damaged hardware.
