Thank you for posting! Depending on the thickness of the door, you may either use the 82-073 (1-3/8"), or the 82-074 (1-5/8") patio door handle set. We also recommend the 82-265 mortise lock, if you should need that as well. Get back to us and let us know your thoughts.

The thickness of my door is . 1 3/4 inches. Would I use the one for 1 5/8? And exactly what other hardware do I need. Is there anything from this existing lock that can be reused?

Ah, I see. I'm afraid we don't have a handle set specifically for a door this thick, but you may still be able to get the 82-074 to work. I think the key tail can just about reach the mortise lock. You would, however, need to re-use your old screws.
