Masterview Window sweep lock

Question

Hi Swisco.....I finally got a side by side pic! The black is the original....would luv to replace it with the white if at all possible. As you can see....original "tongue" is shorter. And this is the problem!

I ordered part # 90-005 for my existing Masterview Windows. The dimensions were all correct and screwd into place nicely but the "tongue" part was too thick to actually fit in the locked position. Any suggestions for the correct lock to get?

Thanks for posting! Sorry to hear the 90-005 is causing problems. We've actually had this question a couple times in the past but have never been able to find an alternate version of the 90-005 with this extra short tongue. I suspect the Masterview make of this lock may no longer be made. That said, in our experience, you should be able to grind the tongue of the 90-005 down to the appropriate size (I believe your original tongue has a projection of 1/4", if I remember correctly). Would that work for you?
