Measuring the handle spline

Question

So to be sure a crank handle will fit my operator, how would I measure the spline?  The spline is like a gear shape, so is it a diameter from peak to peak?

Great question. In this case, it actually depends on the hardware manufacturer.

If you can upload a picture of your existing operator with the handle and then a picture of the handle removed, we should be able to get a better idea of what you could use as a replacement.
