Milgard Balancer Replacement

A quick learner from Del Mar, CA 92014 says:

Swisco Folks:

Just spoke to one of your reps and I've uploaded two photos of Milgard Balancers for identifying the proper replacement. that I need a replacement for two of them as springs are rusted.

Stamped number is 26-C

Length end to end metal (not including white plastic) is 27 inches.

I need two of them as springs are rusted for each side.

Standing by for your reply and I will order them..

Thanks,

Payson

In addition to the two Milgard balancers I also need Milgard-type/like plastic weather stripping as in the photos attached.

The stripping has a curved exterior edge and it it 11/16' from top of the curve to the bottom of curve where it meets the window. I don't know what the backside of the plastic looks like where it attaches to the window.

The interior length of the vertical piece is 1/2 inch.

The right angle coming off it is also a 1/2 inch. Thanks

Thanks for posting. I believe your balances are either our S351-27 or S390-27. The only difference between these two balances is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best. You will need a stamp option of 2630. If you need new take-out clips, see our 16-002

Your glazing bead I'm not so certain about. Can you remove a sample and show us a clearer picture of the end profile? Could you also confirm the dimensions? Glazing bead dimensions are very discrete, often going into the X/32" range, so be as specific as you can. I have listed a host of possible replacement beads on this page. Compare your bead's end profile to them to see if any match up.
