Milgard Stainless Steel Roller w/Spacer - # HA6653MI

Home Owner from Littleton,Colorado
I'm looking for a diagram (or a video) showing how the MilGard Stainless Steel Rollers for sliding glass door are installed, prior to removing my door (for replacement). Does Swisco sell this replacement part? If so, the rollers I have found show two 'tabs', are they for securing to the door (and would the replacement part contain replacement screws?

thank you,

David

Hey, David. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with your door or how your rollers are replaced. We have a couple videos on how to replace patio glass doors, which you can see on the right hand side of this page. Give them a look and let me know if they help.

We may have a replacement for the roller, but I will need to see pictures of it removed from the door along with dimensions so that I can find a good match.

Dave, thanks for the response. I've got a link to the PDF for the classic MilGard glass door. The image of the roller is towards the end of that document. I found a video on Swisco for an Anderson door for roller replacement, but there were no 'tabs' on that roller assembly. My guess is that the tabs are for securing the roller to the door assumedly from the outside, but I'm reluctant to remove my door just to check for that. If I'm going to take it off. I want to repair it then and not have to do it twice! :)

If you have any suggestions or advice. I'd very much appreciate it.

Thank you.

The document you sent us only shows one roller, which resembles our 81-018. Is this what you have? Unfortunately, I cannot confirm unless I can see what your roller looks like removed from your door, along with detailed dimensions. Look it over and see if this is a match.

Dave,

Thanks again for the response. The PDF document I sent is the actual part list for MilGard doors as I've confirmed it's a MilGard door. The door would require two sets of the rollers. So the 81-018 would not be the right part because I believe it's missing a 'spacer' on the top of the roller. Do you have a model that has this spacer affixed to the top of the roller?

I'm afraid we do not carry the spacer you mention, but in my experience you can reuse it for the new roller. It should just slide off.
