My door is too heavy to handle

A home owner from Florida says:
We have sliding glass doors, and they weigh a ton. They're 9 feet tall, with hurricane-strength glass.
We can't open the door from the outside using those fingertip handles. I want something we can grab.
My screwholes are 3-15/16" apart. I'd like to get something like your Swisco 82-069, only with the D-shaped inside handle on the outside as well as the inside.
But how would I make the screws come together?
We don't have a screen slider, so there's no problem with clearance. We don't need a keyed lock.

Hello! If you don't have a screen door and if you don't need a keyed lock, I would recommend our 82-044 outside pull. This should work nicely with the inside handle that comes with the 82-069 set. You could also consider our 82-035 set, which comes has the 82-044 included.
