Has there been an answer found for this question? I have the same problem, house build in 1958, I do have pictures.

Hello there! This looks similar to the old Miami box operator. These haven't been made in a long time, unfortunately, probably 60 years or more, at least. 

We do have a modern operator that can work with some adaptation, which is our 39-054, but it is unfortunately only designed to work on the opposite hand side of the part you show in your photos. The modern version of your particular orientation is unfortunately obsolete and no longer something we can supply.

This is a tough situation. My recommendation in this case is to contact a local professional in your area who has worked on this kind of window before, maybe at a neighbor's house. They may be able to direct you to a local shop that may still have older parts like this in stock.
