Need a weather strip but don't know what will better.

A handy person from Chicago says:
Don't know what will work best in Chicago, this appears to have taken a beating and now flows a lot of water when it rains.

I don't think your exact seal is made anymore but you should be able to use our 58-170B as a replacement. This has a very similar design and serves the same function, so at that point you just have to check to make sure the size is the same.

Regarding Chicago weather, I'm afraid I cannot comment how well our seal will hold up since I've never had the pleasure of visiting. However most weatherseal is designed to withstand most inclement weather, within reason. Odds are your old one was leaking just because it was old and worn out. I think the 58-170B should be just fine.
