Need help hooking the coils together

Question

One coil has an 8 on it, the other coil has a 9 and the pivot shoe has 15a inscribed on it. I need an explanation on how to attach the coils to the pivot shoe. Also if I even have all the right parts to put it together in the first place

Hello! Your pivot shoe appears to be a match for our 15-177, which is designed to be used with the Series 152 spring; in your case, the S152-8 and S152-9. I would recommend reusing the cover if you can, since this exact design isn't made anymore.

As for how the springs attach to the pivot shoe, it's very simple. The spring slides into one of those diagonal slots you see at the top end of the shoe. You would then install a screw from the side, securing the spring in place. Since you have to springs, you can fit them in the same slot. There should be plenty of room for both of them. You just have to extend the top spring by hand to make sure it comes up and over the bottom spring.
