New Channel Balance

A home owner from Brighton, CO says:

I need to replace a broken channel balance for a non-tilt hung window.
I am unsure which exact part I need. I uploaded some pictures, can you help me identity?

Hey, thanks for posting. I've narrowed this down to two possible channel balance Series: either our Series 380 or our Series 385 balances.

Now, as you can see, there is only one difference between these two Series, and that is their bottom shoe. The Series 380 uses the 15-005 while the Series 385 uses the 15-004. I can't quite tell what you have based on your pictures, though. Please carefully compare their dimensions to your own hardware and see which is a better match.
15-004 and 15-005

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the 380 series - 15-005. The shoe is just over 1 inch.

Do I need a 26 or 27 inch Channel Balance? The in-print shows 26, but when I measure it its 27 inches. I am only measuring from metal to metal.

That's normal. The first two digits of the stamp should be one less than the metal channel's length (for this style of balance, at least). I recommend an S380-27 balance with a 2650 stamp option.

Thanks for your help. I ordered 2 of the S385-27 2650. I had an error in my post above. The shoe is over 1 inch.
