Non Tilt Block and Tackle replacement part

Home Owner from 33908
I am looking for someone who carried these heavy duty non tilt block and tackle parts for my bedroom windows. Our place in Florida was built in 2007 and the strings on them are breaking

Hello,

With this combination of attachments, you could have either an S380-30 or S385-30 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment.

The stamp indicates that these are very heavy windows, meaning that these balances will most likely need to be custom made. If you could confirm the depth of your bottom attachment, the exact weight of your window sash, and the number of balances you need, we can go from there. Thank you!

My bottom guide measures 1" so series 380. The window sash which is indeed heavy as it is impact resistant rated for cat 3 hurricanes weighs approximately 63 lbs.
I currently have 1 window with a broken balance guide so depending on the cost of these I would need 2 balances to repair that window.
I do however have a total of 3 windows with this balance so again depending on cost I would require a total of 6 balances to update or repair the 3 windows as I'm guessing the others will require repair at some point.

We just sent over an order link and price quote for six balances. Take a look and keep in mind that if you decide that you want to order less than six balances, the price will increase per balance. Please let us know if you need anything else.

Casey,

Thank you for price quote. It says non refundable on the quote. If by chance these balances don't fit or work are you saying I'm stuck with them? I'm asking because the stamp on my current balance is 29-16 and the quote shows 29-15. It worried me a bit that they may not fit.

Thanks for catching that error, though I can assure you that if the order had been placed, we would have rectified the situation. The balances are non-refundable in the case that a customer gives us inaccurate information for the balances they need, which is not what happened here.

I'm going to send you an updated order link for the (29-16) balances that you need right now. I do want to point out that these balances have a 5-6 week lead time for us to receive them and ship them from our warehouse. Thanks again!

Casey,

Thanks for the updated order link. Can you tell me what the difference in cost per balance if I only ordered 4 versus the 6 you quoted me.

If you ordered less than six, the cost would go up to $38.84 per balance.

Casey,

Thanks. I'll use the link you sent me before and get the 6 order.

Casey,

I received the 29-16 balances the end of last week and have just installed the first set. They work great and the window opens so.much better. If the other owners in my complex wanted to order replacements for their windows is there a part number they could use? Or maybe give you my order number since we know these work.

Thanks again for your help getting mine ordered and shipped.

Regards,

Paul

Thanks for getting back to us, Paul. I'm very happy to hear that everything worked out.

If your neighbors were also interested in purchasing this balance, then we should be able to help. I recommend using the discussion ID for this thread as a reference: D213305. That way we can come back to this page and reference everything we discussed here.

Thanks Casey, I will make note of that discussion ID and pass it along.

On another note. I have attached a photo of another smaller window balance that I'm wondering if you carry? I was able to order one from another vendor a while back but it would make sense to get all my window parts from one place if I can.

Regards,
Paul

As an addendum to my last response, your neighbor can reach out to us separately and use this discussion number as a jumping-off point.

As for the new balance in your photo, we can supply them but it will have to be a custom order due to the 86 at the start of the stamp. We'll just need to see the end attachments and confirm how many you need. Thank you!
