Good question. You're referring to the balance's stamp options. The stamp option is a code that denotes the strength of the spring calibrated inside the balance. What does that mean? Plainly speaking, it denotes the weight range the balance is designed to support. For instance, for the S750-33, the stamp option of 32HD supports a window sash in the weight range of 24 through 29 lbs, while the option of 32TG supports a sash in the range of 29 through 36 lbs. If you're uncertain what stamp option you need, you can always obtain the exact weight of your window sash and go by the chart that's on every balance's shop page.
