Pella 29196 Slide Bolt Installation

A home owner from Madison, ct says:
Pella just sent me a replacement kit screen door slide bolt kit #29196 or 40-014
My existing French screen door the bottom slide bolt is missing
How do I install the new bolt.
Can I insert the new bolt into the existing housing?

Assuming the old housing is identical to the one that comes with the 40-014 kit, I see no reason why you can't reuse it. If it's different, though, then you may want to consider replacing the housing with the newer version.

We have a Pella hinged patio door from the late 80's/early 90's with an additional screen door unit on the exterior side. Both have sliding bolts on the top and bottom of the latch side of the door. All need to be replaced. Do you have these parts?

We do carry the 42-006 flush bolt, but this doesn't look the same length as yours. You will need to check with a locksmith in your area to see if they can supply you with the exact size. Yours could be an older style sold by "IVES".
