Can 81-244 replace the 81-098?

Question

Ordered and just received the 81-244 rollers. Unfortunately, My door has the 81-098 roller. Do you know why the 81-244 rollers would not work? Seems like they would to me. Or, should I just return these and select the 81-249 or 81-098.
Still trying to figure out why the 81-098 rollers are so expensive as the quality of the 81-244's is superb and has more metal than the 81-098. Do you think I would be pleased with the quality of the 81-249's?

Hate to keep asking friends to help me put the door back on, so next time I want it to be the last time.

Hi Bill. Sorry to hear you have been having so much trouble with these rollers and the patio door. Hopefully I can provide you with some insight that may begin to solve this matter. Our 81-244 roller is taller than our 81-098 roller. Since our 81-098 roller is made for the older Pella doors that are no longer carried, the cost may be a little on the higher end.

We also have recommended our 81-249 rollers as an alternate that customers have installed and used with no issues. Perhaps you should review each product as much as possible to see which would make the better match for you.
