Pivot Shoe Installation Tip

A quick learner from Pa. says:
the shoe is shipped in the locked position, install it that way, get it where it needs to be and then use a wide screwdriver blade to rotate the cam so the opening is facing up. Making sure both shoes are at the same height install the window, run it up and down a few times to make sure both shoes are latched and you're done!

Note: Some installers leave a leveling screw in the track when they put the window in. This screw cannot be made to get out of your way for removing the old shoe, you have to get out your Dremel and grind it off. Unless you want to chance using the spreader, something I wouldn't try on brittle old vinyl.
