13/16" Thick Pivot shoe

A quick learner from Michigan says:
Which shoe would you recommend to replace this one? It measures 1 7/16 tall by 1 1/4 wide by 13/16 thick.

Thanks for writing in. We might have a possible replacement for this shoe, but I want to confirm a few things to be sure. One, could you double-check the thickness of the shoe? 13/16" is pretty thick for a pivot shoe, so I want to make sure it's not a smaller measurement. If it's 9/16", the 15-215 might be what you're looking for. Just let us know.

A quick learner from Michigan says:
It's 13/16. Would the 9/16 possibly work?

Bob from SWISCO responded:

No, 9/16" would be way too thin. It'd be loose in your jamb track and the window wouldn't work properly, if your sash could even go back in the frame to begin with.

I've never seen this style of shoe in that size before. It's very peculiar. Could you show me an undamaged version of this pivot shoe? I'd like to see the metal cam, which appears to be missing from yours. Can you also show me the pivot bar and balances that connect to it? If we can't find this shoe, maybe we can find something that works the same way. I'm not 100% optimistic I can find something, but I'll do my best.

A quick learner from Michigan says:
I hope this helps.

Thanks again for your patience. I'm afraid we learned that your exact balance system has been discontinued and is no longer made. The closest match we can offer is our 15-192 pivot shoe, along with a Series 170 coil spring, 15-156 cover, 15-157 pushing, and new 26-360 pivot bars. I cannot guarantee that these will work, but I don't think there is anything closer to this system. Let me know what you think.

A quick learner from Michigan says:
What size coil spring? My old spring has a 6 or 9 on it. The half window it is picking up is 43" by 19"

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Well, depending on whether that's a 6 or a 9, then you'd want either our S170-406 (6 pound spring) or S170-409 (9 pound spring).
