I have Norwood Windows, wood double hung.
https://norwoodwindows.ca/norwood-wood-series-windows/hung/
relatively large windows. 30lb per sash. The balances failed in 9 windows.
I replaced the balances with S770-35 part in one window . Perfect fit.
I need to replace some of the shoes.
The jamb channel is made of metal with no cutout.
Please, what's the best approach to replace the pivot shoe ?
The jamb spreaders tool (76-069) seems to be designed to work on vinyl not metal.

Hello,
We recommend using the cutout method shown below to access your pivot shoes, which will work for aluminum channels as well.
If you need help identifying your pivot shoes, feel free to get back to us with photos of your part uninstalled. We'd also need you to write out the exact width and thickness of the shoe to narrow down your options. Thank you!
