Please confirm channel balance part

Question

The metal part of channel balance is 27" long. Window sash weighs 24.8 lb. Please see the attached pictures. Based on this, I'm thinking the part is 27" SERIES 385 CHANNEL BALANCE Product Code: S385-27 with 2640 option. I'd appreciate your confirmation on this. Thanks.

Thanks for writing in. Yes, nice work--I agree with your analysis. The only other thing I'd point out is to be absolutely certain the depth of the bottom nylon shoe is greater than 1". If the bottom nylon shoe was only 1" deep, then you'd need the S380-27 instead. Otherwise, you're totally right that the S385-27 is what you need. It certainly looks that way from your photos, but pictures of a ruler aren't always the best to go by, so please double-check to be safe. Refer to the image below to confirm the depth.
