Can you tell me what kind of window balance and top and bottom pieces I need to replace our broken spring balance? The plastic piece shows a patent number 5.737.877. Broken balance is 27 inches long and window sash weighs 20 pounds. Spring is 12 1/2 inches long. I reviewed your video but not sure which one I need to purchase. Does the 27 inch series 795 channel balance (item 27C) include the bottom shoe cam and piece to attach at the top of the window? Home built in 2002.Thanks for your help.

Hello! Your old rod balance isn't made anymore, but as you've already discovered our modern Series 795 is the recommended replacement. This balance comes with everything you see in its store page photos, including the bottom "T" lock shoe and the screw tab at the top. It does not come with the 26-200 screw plug that we mention in our video, though, so don't forget to purchase that separately. |
