Can you please explain to me how this hinge can be installed on either side of a window?
To me it looks like the right side hinge of an awning window. If you install it on the left side it would have to open inside.

The 36-023HD hinges can be used on left or right side of a window sash. You can also have these hinges push out or pull in, depending on how you install them. The stationary leg is mounted vertical into the window channel and the hinge part is attached to one the sides of the window; one on left side and one on the right side.
